We are seeking a skilled Slitting Machine Operator to set up and operate cutting and roll wrapping machines effectively. The role requires cutting cores to size for the slitter, weighing and labeling plastic rolls, and ensuring proper supplies of cores for slitting jobs. Additionally, you will be responsible for palletizing rolls and delivering them to the finished goods area. You must follow GMPs, PRPs, and production SOPs, conduct final inspections of rolls, and report unsafe acts and conditions immediately. This position involves repeatable motions and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate cutting and roll wrapping machines.
- Cut cores to size for slitter and ensure proper supplies for slitting jobs.
- Weigh and label plastic rolls accurately.
- Palletize rolls and deliver to the finished goods area.
- Follow GMPs, PRPs, and production SOPs.
- Conduct final inspection of rolls according to procedures.
- Report all unsafe acts and conditions promptly.
Essential Skills
- 6+ months of manufacturing operating experience.
- Ability to read and take measurements.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Capability to lift 50 lbs consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Specific flexographic or metals slitting experience.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience operating an overhead hoist.
- Previous machine operating experience for a packaging company.
- Experience in a GMP company is a plus.
- Machine setup experience is advantageous.
- Experience in corrugated packaging or printing.
- Training in safety protocols.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.44 - $22.44/hr.
