Job Description

Join a dynamic team that designs and manufactures cutting-edge Gatling guns, which are utilized by top-tier special operations. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that designs are manufacturable, adhering to ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards. You'll also work to enhance processes, eliminate quality issues, and collaborate with suppliers to deliver conforming parts on time.

Responsibilities

  • Review and assess engineering drawings for manufacturability and proper dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Interface with vendors and suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Work alongside the production and quality departments to address production, assembly, and inspection challenges.
  • Participate in first article inspection activities and vendor audits.
  • Engage in root-cause analyses and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Assist in expanding and diversifying the supply chain.
  • Handle technical data and information in compliance with legal regulations and company policies.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a related industry.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and create engineering drawings in accordance with ANSI Y-14 standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in military and defense-related industries.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks EPDM and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards.
  • Experience with investment casting and post-casting machining operations.
  • Basic knowledge of firearm mechanics.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $52.88/hr.
