Job Description
Join a dynamic team that designs and manufactures cutting-edge Gatling guns, which are utilized by top-tier special operations. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that designs are manufacturable, adhering to ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards. You'll also work to enhance processes, eliminate quality issues, and collaborate with suppliers to deliver conforming parts on time.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess engineering drawings for manufacturability and proper dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure compliance with standards.
- Interface with vendors and suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Work alongside the production and quality departments to address production, assembly, and inspection challenges.
- Participate in first article inspection activities and vendor audits.
- Engage in root-cause analyses and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Assist in expanding and diversifying the supply chain.
- Handle technical data and information in compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar field.
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a related industry.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software with at least 1 year of experience.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and create engineering drawings in accordance with ANSI Y-14 standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in military and defense-related industries.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks EPDM and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards.
- Experience with investment casting and post-casting machining operations.
- Basic knowledge of firearm mechanics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $52.88/hr.
