Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a school located in Nellis Air Force Base, NV. This contract role is based at the North Valley Campus and is an excellent opportunity for educators passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to deliver inclusive and effective educational experiences.
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Provide a safe, supportive, and motivating learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
- Utilize specialized teaching methods and assistive technologies to meet diverse learning needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities and developmental levels.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to create individualized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
