In this position, you will manage employee data, verify timesheets, and coordinate with various departments to maintain seamless payroll operations. Job Responsibilities


- Process employee payrolls accurately and timely on a regular schedule.

- Verify and enter timekeeping information into the payroll system.

- Calculate employee earnings, deductions, bonuses, and overtime.

- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit statements.

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

- Maintain and update employee payroll records and files.

- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies.

- Assist in the preparation of payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.

- Coordinate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data.

- Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations.

- Assist in the preparation and filing of payroll taxes and other financial obligations.

- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures related to payroll.

- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and ensure data security.

- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and processes.

- Provide support during internal and external payroll audits.


Job Requirements


- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.

- Proven experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar role.

- Proficiency in payroll software ( ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.

- Familiarity with payroll processes, labor legislation, and tax regulations.

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot payroll issues.

- Willingness to stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
