The Clinical Nurse Manager – Pediatricsis responsible for coordinating and supervising the delivery of high-qualityresident care within the pediatric unit. This role includes the recommendation,development, and implementation of nursing policies and procedures, whileensuring that the unit operates efficiently and complies with best practices.As a key leader, the Nurse Manager collaborates closely with clinical staff andthe interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes and a positiveteam culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for daily operations on the pediatric unit.
- Coordinate staffing, patient assignments, and clinical workflows to ensure safe and effective care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for pediatric residents.
- Participate in the development and enforcement of unit policies and procedures.
- Promote professional development and continuing education for nursing staff.
- Monitor quality metrics and implement performance improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program – required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – required
- Pediatric nursing experience in an acute or long-term care setting – preferred
- Prior experience in a Nurse Manager or supervisory role – preferred
- Ventilator care experience – preferred
- Current New York State RN license – required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferred
