A registered nurse with expertise in operating room procedures is needed to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic surgical environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting, supporting surgical teams and ensuring patient safety throughout perioperative activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgeries by providing necessary instruments and support
- Monitor patients' vital signs and condition during surgery, addressing any changes promptly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain standards of care and adhere to protocols
- Document surgical interventions and patient progress accurately in medical records
- Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care, including assessments and education
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN licensure
- Proven experience in operating room nursing
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control measures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with surgical teams and patients
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
