Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting in Portland, OR, to cover a leave of absence from mid-March through the end of the school year. This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week, serving a diverse caseload of 30 students across three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school located on the north side of the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to K-12 students, addressing individualized educational and therapy goals.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success and well-being.
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the needs of students in school-based settings.
Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapy licensure in Oregon.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within school environments.
- Ability to manage a caseload of K-12 students effectively.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and regulatory requirements.
