Position Overview
The Teller is responsible for maintaining accurate transactional records while providing exceptional member service in alignment with credit union procedures. Thisindividual will handle cash receipts and payments, balance daily transactions, and serve as the face of the credit union. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, reliable,detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of credit union operations, products, and services.

Key Responsibilities
Member Service & Transactions
Greet and welcome members professionally, providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service.
Receive and process deposits, including cash and checks; verify amounts and endorsements; enter transactions into the system.
Cash checks and process withdrawals, ensuring proper signature and balance verification.
Promote and explain credit union products and services (e.g., consumer loans, mortgages, IRAs, certificates, money orders).
Payments & Account Processing
Process consumer loan payments and other account payments, ensuring accuracy and proper posting.
Generate member receipts and ensure payment activity is correctly documented.
Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds as required.
Review and process updates to member contact information in accordance with established procedures.
Operational Duties
Review and process mobile deposits, including placement of extended holds when necessary.
Count, check, and package currency and coins.
Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift and reconcile with system-generated reports; report discrepancies to management.
Maintain teller station supplies, forms, and materials.
Report equipment malfunctions (teller terminals, printers, etc.).
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of recent Teller experience in a credit union or bank (required)
Previous cash handling experience (required)
Teller Cash Recycler experience (preferred)
DNA core system experience (a plus)
