Location: Taunton, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Monday through Friday varying shifts. M-F 9:30-6 / 10-6:30 / 11-8:30 Sat-Sun 10-6:30 (Full Time)
Pay Rate: $64.27 Per hour


We are seeking a licensed Long Term Care Pharmacist to join a growing pharmacy team. This role focuses on providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to long-term care and home-based patients, with strong technician support and a consistent weekday schedule.


The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and compliant dispensing of medications while collaborating closely with healthcare providers to support optimal patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accept, review, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Ensure medications prescribed are appropriate, safe, and effective for each patient
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or drug-related concerns
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation
  • Provide patient and caregiver education on medication usage, storage, side effects, and interactions
  • Offer consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications
  • Compound medications for internal and external use as required
  • Prepare sterile solutions following proper aseptic procedures
  • Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices (e.g., blood pressure monitors, glucose meters)
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care
  • Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians and support staff (team of 3 technicians)
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies


Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Active and unrestricted Indiana Pharmacist (RPh) license
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Long Term Care pharmacy and/or home-based pharmacy settings
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Familiarity with Parata pharmacy automation systems
