Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Occupational Therapist is needed to support students across multiple grade levels, from Kindergarten through Grade 12, in Hayward, CA. The role involves providing therapeutic services designed to enhance students' functional abilities and participation in academic and social settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students occupational therapy needs in alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Develop and implement targeted interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and adapt classroom environments.
- Provide documentation and progress reports to comply with school and district guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise towards student goals.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school settings.
- Familiarity with working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
- Ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to the developmental needs of children and adolescents.
