We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to support daily front-desk and administrative operations in Cohoes, New York. This Long-term Contract position calls for a detail-oriented candidate with relevant experience who can welcome visitors, coordinate office activity, and keep records and communications organized. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing customer-facing responsibilities with clerical support while maintaining confidentiality and a well-run office environment.


Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests courteously, guide them to the appropriate contacts, and ensure a positive front-office experience.

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries, including packages handled through courier services and internal distribution.

• Maintain accurate visitor records, call logs, and security badge or pass processes in accordance with site procedures.

• Oversee meeting room calendars and help confirm rooms are properly prepared with the necessary equipment.

• Provide day-to-day administrative assistance such as document preparation, typing, filing, photocopying, and compiling bound materials.

• Assemble and distribute mailers and other office correspondence while supporting general clerical workflow.

• Respond to routine information requests and help route questions to the appropriate departments or team members.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative support role is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented and service-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks independently while meeting daily office needs.
  • Experience handling confidential information with accuracy, discretion, and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with general comfort using computer-based office tools.
  • Background in front-desk operations, clerical support, visitor coordination, and basic office security procedures.
  • Ability to work until 5:30pm
