The Engagement Event Support Specialist is a contractual, part-time position (up to 20 hours/week@ $25/hour) that is responsible for providing logistic and administrative support for our community engagement efforts.
The Engagement Event Support Specialist will engage and collaborate with community members, and strategic partners, to share BYI’s work while expanding its presence by creating and managing live events.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Event planning
· Event management
· Event marketing
· Managing event space rentals
· Development and collaboration with community partners and sponsors
Requirements
Experience in event planning and event management. Prefer experience with creative and/or community events.
Experience engaging with people in community-based work.
Public speaking confidence and experience.
Knowledge of Baltimore’s Black political, economic and cultural ecosystem.
Reliable transportation
Proficient using Google Workspace for project management and data analysis.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Excellent written communication skills.
