About the Role: The Sales Manager will oversee and lead the activities of the Sales Department including hands-on leadership of the Comfort Consultant sales team. They will be responsible for establishing a sales-oriented culture delivering value to our customers through proper training and sales presentation of the company, its products, and programs to qualified customers.

Sales Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop high-performing sales team members (sales coordinators, comfort consultants, plumbing sales, estimators, etc.).
  • Set clear performance goals and oversee schedules, territories, and quotas.
  • Provide coaching, conduct timely performance reviews, and implement accountability measures.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to consistently achieve and exceed targets.
  • Use data and reporting to analyze performance, project sales, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for growth.
  • Partner with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate equipment, products, and services.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and operational challenges to ensure a seamless sales experience.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set sales strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Monitor departmental expenses and manage the sales budget responsibly.
  • Represent the company at industry and community events to build brand visibility and relationships.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to align sales goals with operational execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Sales Manager Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably in HVAC, plumbing, or home services.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience coaching and developing sales professionals.
  • Solid understanding of sales techniques, customer service, and account management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to act quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to support after-hours or on-call customer and team needs.

Sales Manager Interpersonal Qualifications:

  • Customer service focus and mindset, putting our employees and Partners first, with excellent ability to communicate and develop relationships.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities to improve things both big and small.
  • Highly organized, ability to act quickly while still having attention to detail.

Sales Manager Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in residential home services sales management.
  • Familiarity with performance-based pay models.
  • Knowledge of local markets and customer buying patterns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
