Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Job Details:
\n
• Work 8-hour day shifts Tuesday through Saturday with varied start times (8:30am-5pm, 9am-5:30pm, 9:30am-6pm, or 10:30am-7pm)
\n• Receive a day off during the week when working weekend shifts
\n• Schedules created approximately one month in advance by staffing management
\n• Provide therapy services for all acute care patient populations including med-surg, telemetry, ICU, orthopedic, oncology, and cardiac surgery patients
\n• Must have experience with orthopedic and total joint patients as well as ICU and ventilated patients
\n• Cover any patient populations across med-surg, telemetry, ICU and other hospital units
\n• Work with large cardiology population including cardiac surgery patients
\n• May be required to provide therapy for ventilated patients in ICU
\n• Brief orientation typically lasting one day or less
\n• Use Cerner EMR charting system
\n• Dress code requires burgundy polo with dark colored pants (business attire)
\n• All staff required to work holidays
\n• Weekend work may require Saturday or Sunday depending on schedule
\n• Minimum 2 years acute care physical therapy experience required
\n• Must be able to hit the ground running with minimal orientation
\n• Required certifications: BLS and valid state license
\n• COVID vaccination required

This acute care hospital provides comprehensive inpatient services with multiple outpatient locations. The facility offers a full range of acute care services with no skilled nursing or long-term care components. The hospital features 24/7 respiratory therapy services, in-house pharmacy until 10pm with 24/7 access through an affiliated hospital, and hospitalist/intensivist coverage during daytime hours. The facility maintains a diverse patient population including strong cardiology and cardiac surgery programs, along with comprehensive orthopedic, oncology, and critical care services.
