This position is an extension of MRI’s leadership and will function as a Selling – Sales Manager position for the Central Texas Territory. The Managing responsibility will be to grow the Central Texas Sales team in ability and knowledge as well as bring strategy to this territory resulting in growth of sales and profits. Responsibilities will include building all customer and manufacturer relationships. It will also be responsible for directly selling to 1-3 contractors in the assigned territory.
Sales Manager Responsibilities
· Responsible for the performance and development of all sales related activities
· Lead efficient, well-organized sales meetings that are motivating, productive and punctual
· Ability to develop, recruit, attract, and retain high performing salespeople
· Produce goals and sales incentives for sales staff and hold them accountable
· Help create and support senior management by identifying most important sales metrics to track and report on
· Understand and serve the spectrum of MRi customers including, but not limited to Mechanical/Plumbing contractors, Owners/End Users, and Consulting Engineers.
· Have strong relationships with contractors’ management personnel with the ability to match best sales person on the account. This includes the responsibility for all customer assignments.
· Be the go-to person in the office for sales related questions
· Have a very deep understanding of all the products that we represent
· Assist sales team with bid day strategy on larger projects and have a good understanding of what our competition will do on scope and packaging
· Emphasize cohesiveness between all departments (estimating, contracting sales, engineering sales, inside sales, etc.)
· Well established relationships with all manufacturers and have the trust and confidence to communicate, entertain, and work on strategic plans with them
· Sell direct to 1-3 customers while maintaining a high market share
· Ability to effectively conduct presentations, seminars, lunch and learns, etc. on products, company history, etc.
· Participate on leadership team
