Description
American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of certified home care OT experience for a 13-week travel contract serving the North Shore and East Boston regions of Massachusetts.
Details
- Home health setting with patient care provided in patients' place of residence
- Service area covers communities including Lynn, Nahant, Saugus, Chelsea, East Boston, Revere, and Winthrop
- Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric, with a variety of diagnoses including injury, disease, and disability
- Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Travel required within the assigned geographic service area
- Epic used for charting
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts OT license required — no conditional or pending licenses accepted; license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of certified home care OT experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or home care as an OT
- AHA certifications required
- Proficiency with computer software required; experience with handheld patient care devices preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing situations
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
Additional Information
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their home, addressing cognitive and/or physical impairments
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify needs and coordinate care
- Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources as part of the care plan
- Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the Boston area are eligible to apply as local candidates
- No validated parking available at Boston locations; public parking is available at candidate's expense; other locations may also have parking costs
- Time and attendance tracked via UKG/Kronos
- Any requested time off should be disclosed prior to consideration
