What You’ll Do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong relationships with key strategic accounts to expand the customer base.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for national accounts, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to existing accounts.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and prospect new accounts in the food service sector.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue growth from national accounts.
  • Develop and execute account retention strategies to ensure long-term customer loyalty.
  • Proactively address any issues or concerns raised by accounts to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute sales strategies for national accounts.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on account performance, including sales growth, retention rates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and strategy adjustments.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts and performance metrics to senior staff members.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery to national accounts.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align on account strategies and objectives
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability.

Requirements:

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the food service industry, with a focus on national accounts.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large accounts.
  • Strong understanding of the food service industry, including market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Experience with National Broadline distribution preferred
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • General understanding of commodity markets, and trading futures.
