We are looking for a Full-Time, Medical Assistant at Advanced Gastroenterology and this role will support our locations in Englishtown, Howell and Old Bridge, NJ

About the Role:

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services. This position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our medical team, which directly impacts patient outcomes and satisfaction. The Medical Assistant will assist in various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, and managing electronic health records. By effectively communicating with patients and healthcare professionals, the Medical Assistant helps to create a welcoming and efficient environment. Ultimately, this role is vital in facilitating the delivery of exceptional healthcare services to our patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a healthcare setting or similar role.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a medical assistant training program.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Take and record patients' vital signs and medical histories accurately.
  • Manage electronic health records, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and confidential.
  • Answer multi-line phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries with professionalism.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to assist in patient care and address any issues that may arise during appointments.
