Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support high school students in Schenectady, NY. This role involves working with a diverse caseload of students across all disability levels, ranging from mild to severe, within grades 9-12.
Responsibilities include conducting reevaluations, participating in MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) meetings, providing student support and problem-solving services, and attending 504 meetings to ensure compliance and student success. The position operates during school hours, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a contract term starting ASAP and ending June 30, 2026.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification and experience as a School Psychologist, preferably with a background in high school settings
- Ability to manage caseloads including reevaluations, MTSS, and 504 plans
- Strong skills in student support and problem-solving strategies
- Familiarity with a broad range of disabilities and special education needs within a high school environment
