Location: This is an on-site role in The Woodlands, TX, with some practical week-to-week flexibility when needed. We are looking for someone who enjoys being connected to the team and working closely with leadership in person.

Note: Candidates must be tech-savvy and must have either a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or strong hands-on accounting/finance experience. Candidates should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, financial data, accounting workflows, and modern software tools.

Job Description

  • Own day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close support, and financial recordkeeping
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management, cash flow tracking, and other core finance workflows
  • Build and maintain financial models, reports, dashboards, and spreadsheet-based tools that improve business visibility
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records while identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial analyses for management
  • Help improve accounting workflows, internal controls, documentation, and business processes as the company scales
  • Assist with audits, tax filings, compliance requests, and external reporting needs
  • Learn and support financial systems, software tools, integrations, and process automation opportunities
  • Partner on special projects and cross-functional initiatives as business needs evolve

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounting, finance operations, bookkeeping, or closely related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, though strong hands-on experience will be considered
  • Strong spreadsheet skills, including comfort with large datasets, formulas, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software, systems, and workflows quickly
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and able to manage multiple accounting priorities
  • Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end close, journal entries, expense management, or financial reporting
  • Comfortable working on-site in The Woodlands, TX
  • Mac / Apple ecosystem experience is a plus
