Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Data Processing Specialist to manage and maintain product data, pricing, and inventory descriptions across multiple systems. This role involves working primarily in Excel and other business software to keep our internal database aligned with packaging, labeling, and printed and digital catalogs.
You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and consistency across product records while working closely with our operations team to support the integrity of our product information. This position plays an important role in daily operations and requires someone who takes accuracy seriously, communicates professionally, and can manage a steady workload.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and update pricing, product descriptions, and specifications in Excel and internal systems
• Verify catalog descriptions against inventory records, labels, and packaging standards
• Clean and organize data to ensure consistency across systems and documents
• Prepare product data for catalogs, labels, and system uploads
• Work with warehouse and sales teams to resolve discrepancies or update records
• Answer phones and assist with order entry on a daily basis
Qualifications & Requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, sorting, formatting, and data cleanup
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong customer service skills and overall computer proficiency
• Professional phone etiquette for customer and internal communication
• Self-starter who can identify areas for improvement and act on them
• Organized with a focus on maintaining a clean and efficient work environment
Preferred Experience
• Experience in small parts distribution or supply chain logistics
• Electrical industry familiarity is helpful but not required
• Experience with ERP or CRM systems
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
Required Software Proficiency
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and at least one additional Adobe Creative Suite application (such as Photoshop) is required. This requirement is non-negotiable and will be evaluated during the interview process. Candidates will complete a proficiency test during their interview.
Schedule & Benefits
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• 7 days of combined vacation and personal time, beginning to accrue after 90 days
