What's your day like?
As a Firefighter, you will be part of a highly skilled team that responds to emergencies, conducts fire prevention activities, and participates in ongoing training to enhance your skills. Your schedule will follow a 48/98 schedule, allowing for extended periods off duty to rest and recharge before taking on new challenges. With the support and guidance of experienced colleagues, you will quickly adapt to the demands of the job and become an integral part of our firefighting force.

HIRING PROCESS:
The hiring process consists of the following phases:
- Submit Application and Documentation – Complete the City of Hewitt employment application and provide all required supporting documentation.
- Written Comprehension Exam – Successfully pass the written examination.
- Physical Fitness Assessment – Pass the required physical fitness evaluation.
- Background Investigation – Successfully complete an extensive background check.
- Panel Interview – Participate in and pass a structured panel interview.
- Pre-Hire Medical Assessments – Successfully complete all required medical evaluations.
