Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational setting in Aurora, CO, is seeking a dedicated professional for a Special Education teaching position. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with special education needs in grades K-12
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with district and federal regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
- Monitor student performance and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in professional development and team meetings to enhance instructional practices
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with K-12 students requiring specialized support
- Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to manage classroom environments and adapt methods to diverse learning styles
Work Schedule and Location:
- Full-time (37.5 hours per week; 5 days a week)
