Position: RN-CVOR-Cardiovascular Operating Room (Travel/Contract)

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgeries ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes during procedures.

• Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.

• Collaborate with surgical team to maintain a sterile and organized operating room.

• Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

• Contribute to achieving team targets and improving patient care quality.

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families about procedures and care.

• Adapt to new technologies and methodologies in cardiovascular care.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.

• Provide mentorship and support to junior staff and new team members.

Experience/Qualifications

• Hold a valid RN license in the state of Alaska.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a CVOR setting.

• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

• Proficiency in monitoring and interpreting patient vitals during surgery.

• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical protocols.

• Experience in documenting surgical procedures and patient information accurately.

• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

• Effective communication skills with patients and surgical team.

• Ability to adapt to new cardiovascular technologies and methodologies.

• Ability to mentor and support junior staff effectively.
