ummary of Responsibilities
The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in achieving production targets, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role involves leading and motivating a team of production technicians to achieve peak performance while supporting the Production Manager with the day-to-day line management of their area. The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the production operation are accomplished to meet safety, quality, production, and housekeeping requirements. This includes overseeing the team, ensuring an efficient operation, and achieving business targets. This role works closely with the Production Manager to support the overall Production process by developing and recommending process and system improvements that promote increased safety, productivity, and personnel development.
Essetial Functions

Actively participates in safety programs and is a safety advocate.
• Team Leadership: Provides first-line supervisory support for production teams. Resolves technician concerns in a timely manner and with priority. Leads and motivates the team to achieve production goals and maintain high morale.
• cheduling & Time Management: Manages shift team and schedule, including reviewing and approving timecards on a bi-weekly basis for payroll processing.
• roblem Solving & Continuous Improvement:
• Keeps informed of all Production issues. Coordinates and develops plans to effectively resolve problems which may be related to equipment, processes and/or personnel matters.
• Utilizes root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve production issues.
• Develops and implements corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify and eliminate waste in the production process.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive efficiency and productivity gains.
• Communication & Employee Relations: Acts as a liaison between employees and management; manages and ensures team members have accurate and up-to-date information on business issues. Develops communication processes as needed.
• Training & Development:
• Identifies personnel training requirements related to safety, quality, machine operations, and team concepts. Develops and manages plans to bridge training gaps.
• Provides ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
• Identifies and develops high-potential employees.
• erformace Management: Manages and maintains the technician performance evaluation for the team.
Works with other supervisors and managers to ensure consistency.
• Collaboration: Coordinates assistance as required from other operational groups such as Finishing, Facilities/Maintenance, and Quality Assurance. Promotes teamwork across teams and operational groups.
• roduction Planning & Execution: Implements and executes detailed production plans. Supports and carries out production requirements, meeting established quality standards. Ensures that proper procedures are followed; identifies, develops, and executes process improvements.
• roductivity Improvement: Assumes a central role in identifying productivity improvement opportunities and implements plans.
• Data Analysis: Analyzes production data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports on production progress.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Technical Skills:
o Has a working knowledge of the three forming areas – Pelletizing, Front Forming, and Rear Forming. Has the ability to train in these respective areas.
o Proficient in all aspects of production and quality reporting, including the computerized shop floor system.
• Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated strength in interpersonal skills and training ability.

• Availability: Availability to work overtime as necessary; rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays to support the Production Plan. Works as part of the team in a hands-on way whenever necessary, including coverage of short or long-term absences of team members.
