Controls Engineer | Holt, MI

Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Develop, program, and maintain PLC and HMI/SCADA systems for manufacturing processes.
Design, implement, and optimize industrial control systems and automation solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical, automation, and control system issues on the production floor.
Integrate new equipment and control components into existing manufacturing lines.
Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics, control documentation, and software backups.
Participate in the commissioning, startup, and validation of new machinery and production lines.
Ensure all control systems comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) for industrial automation.
Experience with HMI/SCADA system design, development, and integration.
Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
Ability to read, interpret, and develop electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex automation systems.
Familiarity with industrial safety standards and safety system design.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with industrial robotics programming (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA, ABB).
Proficiency in industrial vision systems integration (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
Familiarity with MES/SCADA integration and data historian systems (e.g., OSI PI).
Experience with SQL databases for industrial data logging and reporting.
