Psychiatrist – Region 6
Location: Leavittsburg, OH 44430
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts)
Duration: Minimum 6 months (potential for extension or permanent placement)
Position Overview
We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Psychiatrist licensed in Ohio to provide full-time, on-site behavioral health services within a secure facility setting. This role serves an adult population and offers a weekday schedule with no evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment services
• Conduct psychiatric assessments and prepare detailed evaluations and reports
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Make referrals for specialized behavioral health care as needed
• Document services using an electronic health record (EHR) system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews
• Perform duties in accordance with scope of practice and applicable state and professional standards
Patient Volume: Approximately 12–16 patients per 8-hour shift
Required Qualifications
• Active Ohio Medical License
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
• Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR Certification
• DEA Certification (required prior to start)
• Master’s Degree (as applicable to medical education requirements)
