This dual-role position combines front desk reception duties with catering support to ensure a welcoming office environment and seamless event operations. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting.Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:
- Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees with a positive and professional demeanor, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, taking messages as needed.
- Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area, ensuring necessary supplies (e.g., pens, forms, brochures) are stocked.
Catering Duties:
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, cutting ingredients, and preparing simple dishes or beverages under the direction of the catering manager or chef.
- Set up dining and buffet areas for meetings or events, arranging tables, chairs, and tableware as per instructions.
- Manage inventory of catering supplies, restock as needed, and place orders for new stock.
- Serve food and beverages to guests during events, clear tables, and respond to guest inquiries or complaints professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety and health regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications (e.g., food handler’s license) are a plus.
- Proven experience in reception, office administration, or catering/hospitality is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, guests, and team members.
Compensation:
$30-40/hr
