Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Assurance Nurse Practitioner (NP)/ Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality care across our clinical services. As a key member of the healthcare quality team, the QANP/PA will collaborate with physicians, staff, and leadership to evaluate and improve patient outcomes, adherence to clinical protocols, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive chart reviews to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
- Evaluate the quality of patient care, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare).
- Collaborate with clinical teams to identify areas for improvement in patient care and develop strategies to address gaps.
- Review and assess the effectiveness of treatment plans and interventions.
- Participate in audits, performance improvement initiatives, and root cause analyses.
- Develop and implement training programs for clinical staff on quality assurance best practices and compliance.
- Ensure timely documentation and reporting of quality assurance findings, improvements, and outcomes.
- Provide expertise in clinical guidelines and ensure appropriate clinical protocols are being followed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and healthcare industry trends.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to promote patient safety, patient satisfaction, and overall quality improvement.
Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) licensure.
- Master’s degree in nursing.
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- 3+ years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a healthcare quality or clinical settings.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, clinical standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Previous Wound Care experience.
- Ability to evaluate complex patient care situations and implement improvement plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Previous experience in a quality assurance or healthcare auditing role is preferred.
- Certification in quality improvement or healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ) is a plus.
