Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Assurance Nurse Practitioner (NP)/ Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality care across our clinical services. As a key member of the healthcare quality team, the QANP/PA will collaborate with physicians, staff, and leadership to evaluate and improve patient outcomes, adherence to clinical protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive chart reviews to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Evaluate the quality of patient care, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare).
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to identify areas for improvement in patient care and develop strategies to address gaps.
  • Review and assess the effectiveness of treatment plans and interventions.
  • Participate in audits, performance improvement initiatives, and root cause analyses.
  • Develop and implement training programs for clinical staff on quality assurance best practices and compliance.
  • Ensure timely documentation and reporting of quality assurance findings, improvements, and outcomes.
  • Provide expertise in clinical guidelines and ensure appropriate clinical protocols are being followed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and healthcare industry trends.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers to promote patient safety, patient satisfaction, and overall quality improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) licensure.
  • Master’s degree in nursing.
  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a healthcare quality or clinical settings.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, clinical standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous Wound Care experience.
  • Ability to evaluate complex patient care situations and implement improvement plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance or healthcare auditing role is preferred.
  • Certification in quality improvement or healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ) is a plus.
