Robert Half is searching for a Program Manager who can support a gas company based in Portland, OR. This position is a contract to hire (6 months) opportunity that is Hybrid, requiring 2 days onsite. Apply today!


Job Duties

Duration: 6 months to hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8A-5P

Location: Hybrid - 2 days onsite minimum



Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee large-scale, complex projects or programs, ensuring timely delivery of results and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, including internal staff, external consultants, and other stakeholders, to achieve program goals.
  • Develop detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and deliverables using established tools and templates.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve interdependencies between projects while collaborating with other project managers and stakeholders
  • Conduct thorough analyses to estimate costs, track budgets, and ensure financial accountability throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain effective operating models, engaging with key stakeholders and steering committees to facilitate smooth program execution.
  • Define resource needs and negotiate with managers to ensure the availability and allocation of required resources.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, aligning schedules, costs, and deliverables with overarching project plans.
  • Monitor and address project risks, issues, and changes, adhering to established policies and escalation protocols.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all project-related activities, adhering to organizational standards.
  • Strong expertise in program and project management methodologies, theories, and techniques.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, mission-critical programs with successful outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, including Planview, and familiarity with technologies like Microsoft Azure and M365.
  • Experience leading field operations implementations and asset management projects.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships effectively and align external deliverables with internal goals.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in business or technology, a relevant certification (e.g., PMP), and over seven years of progressive leadership in project management.
