Retail Inventory Coordinator
Type of Work: Full-Time
Shift Availability: Open availability including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
Hourly Pay Rate: $17.00/hr.
Location: 4237 US Highway 130, Edgewater Park, NJ 08010
About the Role:
As a Retail Inventory Coordinator at Curaleaf, you'll play a critical role in ensuring a seamless customer experience by maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting efficient store operations. You'll be responsible for receiving, counting, and managing inventory in compliance with state medical cannabis regulations. As an Inventory Coordinator, you'll ensure products are properly tracked within Metrc, Dutchie POS, and/or state-specific seed-to-sale systems, enabling customers to find the products they need when they need them.
What You'll Do:

Customer Experience & Teamwork
- Assist front-of-house team with sales when needed to support exceptional customer service.
- Advise team members on proper care and preservation of inventory to maintain product quality for customers.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive shopping experience.

Operations & Store Standards
- Maintain accurate inventory records throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage product intake, verifying invoices and entering products into the POS system using correct naming conventions.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and audits, including full monthly store inventories.
- Monitor inventory levels to align with promotions and customer demand.
- Log receipts and documentation to ensure accurate inventory accounts.
- Follow audit programs and perform physical inventory checks to maintain integrity of company records.
- Oversee inventory deliveries, including signing manifests and filing documentation.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Print and label products for stocking shelves and returns.
- Assess internal controls over inventory and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay informed about state/local laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Occasional travel (up to 5%) to assist other local stores.
- Support initiatives that ensure product availability and timely replenishment to meet customer demand.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least six months of experience in a customer-facing role.
- At least six months of experience handling inventory or performing cycle counts in a retail environment.
- Comfort using point-of-sale systems and handling transactions accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
- Open availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts.
- Clear and professional communication skills to connect with customers and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new tools to support operations.
- Attention to detail, basic math skills, and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Calm and solution-oriented approach when resolving issues or de-escalating concerns.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Collaborative mindset and readiness to support store leadership and contribute to success.
Even Better If You Have:
- Experience in state-specific cannabis inventory management.
- Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and inventory management software.
- Familiarity with e-commerce systems and order fulfillment processes.
- Previous experience within a regulated retail setting.
Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to climb and balance. This position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
Work Environment:
