A full-time Speech Language Pathologist opportunity is available in an elementary school setting in Virginia Beach, VA. This contract position spans the next school year and involves working with a diverse population of students, many of whom present with severe behavioral disorders. The students may be served in various settings ranging from functional to inclusive classrooms, providing a dynamic and rewarding environment for professionals with pediatric and school-based experience.
Responsibilities include administering speech and language assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating closely with a team of support staff and educators to meet each students unique needs. The program emphasizes a collaborative, team-oriented approach to support student success and professional growth.
Qualifications and experience sought:
- SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Virginia SLP license, or licensure pending with an expectation to be active by August
- Experience working with school-aged children, specifically in pediatric and educational settings
- Ability to manage caseload with students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges
- SLPA credential holders with school experience may also be considered
