Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Physical Therapist to support students in a school setting located in Derry, NH. The position involves working with children across various developmental stages including Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. This is a contracted role within the school district, providing essential therapeutic services to enhance student mobility and participation in educational activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students' needs.
- Implement interventions to improve student function, mobility, and safety within the school environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Document and track student progress according to school and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and provide consultation regarding physical therapy concerns as they relate to education.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with valid state credentials.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings preferred.
- Knowledge of Early Childhood through High School developmental stages.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to individual student needs within a school environment.
