Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting team is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join a growing company located in Downtown Reno on a part-time contract to basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing payroll operations and ensuring accurate reporting for a small team of employees. This position offers a dynamic work environment with startup energy, where adaptability and collaboration are key.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for employees on weekly and biweekly cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Utilize ADP software to execute payroll operations and maintain records.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax reports in compliance with regulations.
• Assist in financial forecasting and reporting related to payroll.
• Reconcile payroll accounts to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the team to support payroll-related transitions and improvements.
• Communicate effectively with team members to address payroll queries and provide updates.
• Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to various tasks as needed in a small-team environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws during payroll processes.

• Proven experience in payroll processing, including full-cycle payroll.
• Familiarity with payroll software, preferably ADP
• Strong skills in account reconciliation and payroll tax reporting.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling payroll data.
• Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and contribute to team efforts.
• Availability to work part-time hours, primarily on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
