JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing and product development operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards, with a strong focus on New Product Development (NPD), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and ISO 9001:2015 systems. Experience with vision inspection systems is a plus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
• Lead and support PPAP submissions in accordance with customer and industry requirements (AIAG standards).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in New Product Development (NPD) to ensure quality requirements are integrated into the design and manufacturing process.
• Conduct and support internal, external, and supplier audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and customer-specific requirements.
• Develop and maintain control plans, FMEAs, process flow diagrams, and other quality documentation.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for internal and customer complaints (CAPA).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, 8D, 5 Whys, etc.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and assist in quality system management.
• Evaluate and improve existing inspection methods, including the potential integration and optimization of vision inspection systems (optional but preferred).
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding quality issues, standards, and expectations.
• Manage and support activities related to materials testing, including operation of the materials testing lab, raw material verification, and coordination with suppliers to ensure incoming material quality meets specifications.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and APQP.
• Hands-on experience with ISO 9001:2015 QMS implementation and audits.
• Demonstrated audit experience (internal, supplier, or third-party).
• Familiarity with vision inspection systems is an advantage.
• Experience with materials testing equipment, raw material validation, and supplier quality management is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC software).
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED):
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Lead Auditor – ISO 9001
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
