Urgent Hiring: Temporary Medical Assistant
Montclair & Covina, California
Work directly with surgeons. Support patient care in a fast-paced surgical practice.
Inland Valley Surgeons of SoCal, a physician-led surgical group serving the San Gabriel Valley and Inland
Empire, is urgently seeking a Temporary Medical Assistant to support our two clinic locations in Montclair and Covina. The Medical Assistant will work closely with surgeons and clinical staff to assist with patient care and maintain efficient clinic operations.
This role offers valuable clinical exposure in a surgical setting and is ideal for candidates with medical assisting or healthcare experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
• Assist with patient intake, rooming, and vital signs
• Support physicians and clinical staff with routine clinical tasks
• Perform front office and back office duties as needed
• Assist with clinical documentation and chart preparation using AthenaOne EMR
• Help maintain smooth patient flow and clinic operations
What We're Looking For
• Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Highly preferred: experience with AthenaOne EMR (Athena Health)
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Spanish-speaking preferred
• Must be able to commute between Montclair and Covina clinic locations
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Schedule
• Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Full-time schedule with some flexibility
Compensation & Benefits
• $18–$21 per hour depending on experience
• Medical benefits provided for the employee
