Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Burien, Washington.

Job Description & Requirements

🏥 Unit Details:

• Unit: Special Care Nursery (Level II) / Postpartum
• Beds: 5-bed Level II NICU
• Ratio: 1:3 babies or 3 Mother-Baby couplets when flexed
• EMR: Epic
• Orientation: 3 night shifts with staff
• Scrubs: Provided by facility

✅ Requirements:

• Active RN License (State or Compact)
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP
• Minimum Experience: NICU Level II and postpartum strongly preferred
• Skilled in:
  • Attending deliveries as the baby nurse
  • IV starts, maintenance, and newborn transfers
  • Respiratory support including Bubble CPAP, High Flow, Bipap
  • Assisting with umbilical line placement
• Experience with common diagnoses such as:
  • Respiratory distress
  • Hypoglycemia
  • Phototherapy
  • Neonatal Withdrawal (NOW)
  • Sepsis

Shift: 12-hour nights\n\nSchedule: Block scheduling available\n\nWeekend: Every other weekend required\n\nHolidays: 1 summer & 1 winter holiday\n\nCall/Standby: Yes\n\nFloating: Required between SCN and Postpartum\n\nSupport: In-house neonatologist available 24/7\n\nNo Nurse Aides; RNs provide complete care\n\nFacility Policy: Tobacco & fragrance-free\n\nCancellation Policy: Up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract
