Job Type: Part Time
Availability: Evening hours: 2-3 days a week
Reports To: Head Coach
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Adaptive Dance Instructor to join our neurodiverse sports and fitness program, Spectrum Sports. The ideal candidate will support the Head Coach in helping our athletes during various activities and exercises, and fostering a positive team environment. Additionally, be able to lead a Dance class independently for neurodiverse individuals. You would be working mainly with adults and possibly Teens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Coach in conducting classes by helping set up and take down equipment for activities. Partnering with athletes who need extra assistance by helping them with various skills, movements, and exercises.
- Provide instruction and feedback to athletes to improve their skills, technique, and performance.
- Foster a positive team culture through mentoring, communication, and by encouraging teamwork among athletes.
- Lead and manage a Dance class for our neurodiverse athletes
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with special needs (not required)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their best.
- The ability to work with others in order to help our athletes succeed
- Background and experience with Dance
Compensation:
Hourly pay ranging from $18 - $20 based on personal experience, background, and qualifications.
