JOB DETAILS:

Boone Quarry - Rogers Group Inc - Verona KY

Wages are expected to be between $34-$40 per hour. Higher starting pay may be available based on experience and certification. Candidates in hourly roles are bonus eligible upon successful completion of MSHA electrical exam after one year of service.

Candidates already with this certification may be eligible to come as a Senior Industrial Electrician with a higher starting pay. This position would include a company service vehicle for business and commute purposes. This position may be called upon to assist other locations as needed. Overtime available and extensive medical and retirement benefits.

Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual to fill an INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN position for Boone Quarry in Verona, KY. This individual will be responsible for analyzing and correcting electrical problems and will repair and overhaul electrical equipment and controls. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

    \n
  • 3-5 years of electrical experience required
  • \n

  • Journeyman Electrician License required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • \n

  • Industrial electrical experience required; mining experience is strongly preferred
  • \n

  • Experience working with 480V high-voltage systems is strongly preferred
  • \n

  • Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) required
  • \n

  • Willingness to work overtime as operational needs require
  • \n

  • Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service, or replace electrical systems and electronic devices
  • \n

  • Perform emergency and scheduled repairs, installations, and inspections based on supervisor instructions
  • \n

  • Apply knowledge of electrical theory, codes, and safety standards to maintain equipment reliability and compliance
  • \n

  • Start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment, including components, circuits, and control board
  • \n

  • Install, repair, maintain, and splice communication and power distribution cables
  • \n

  • Fabricate parts using hand and machine tools when necessary
  • \n

  • Diagnose equipment issues and perform running adjustments, repairs, and overhauls
  • \n

  • Advise operators and mechanics on electrical risks and preventative measures
  • \n

  • Report hazardous electrical conditions and corrective actions to supervisors
  • \n

  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.).
  • \n

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
