Government Contracts Manager
Overview
Applied Resource Group is seeking a Government Contracts Manager to build and manage our federal contracting efforts from opportunity identification through post award execution. This individual will play a critical role in developing a repeatable federal growth engine by identifying opportunities, supporting capture and proposal efforts, establishing teaming relationships, and ensuring compliant contract execution. This role requires a hands on operator who can think strategically, navigate the federal landscape, and execute across business development, proposals, and contracts with precision.
Responsibilities
- Identify and track federal opportunities through platforms such as SAM.gov, GovWin, and similar tools
- Build and maintain relationships with prime contractors and key partners within the federal ecosystem
- Support capture efforts by developing pursuit strategies, win themes, and teaming approaches
- Coordinate proposal activities including timelines, compliance requirements, and submission deliverables
- Gather and organize resumes, past performance, pricing inputs, and supporting documentation for proposals
- Review and manage NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontracts, and statements of work
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and flow down requirements including FAR and DFARS
- Maintain organized contract files and track key milestones, renewals, and modifications
- Partner with finance to support invoicing, rates, and subcontractor payments
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with contractual obligations
- Provide reporting on pipeline, proposals, and contract status to leadership
Requirements
- 3 to 7 plus years of experience in federal contracting, government consulting, staffing, or related environment
- Prior experience working for a prime contractor or large subcontractor supporting federal contracts is required
- Experience supporting proposals, capture efforts, or contract and subcontract administration
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement processes
- Hands on experience with Deltek GovWin for opportunity tracking and pipeline management is required
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar GovCon ERP systems for contract and financial management is required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience working with teaming structures and subcontracting relationships
- Familiarity with contract vehicles such as GSA schedules, IDIQs, or GWACs is preferred
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Self starter with a growth mindset and ability to operate in a fast paced environment
