T&M Associates is seeking an accomplished and motivated Site/Civil Engineer to take on a key leadership role within our Land Development team in any of its three N.J. offices locations (Middletown, Bloomfield or Mount Laurel). This position is ideal for a driven professional with a strong technical foundation and proven project management experience in New Jersey land development (New York City experience is a plus).
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in zoning analysis, site design and layout, grading and drainage, utility coordination, stormwater management, soil erosion and sediment control, and flood hazard design, along with a strong command of applicable local, regional, and state regulations. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, providing flexibility while maintaining meaningful collaboration with a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
· Play an integral role in leading the day-to-day operations of the group, working closely with the Department Manager, Regional Market Leader, and other senior stakeholders to drive performance and project success.
· Manage and deliver projects for core clients, ensuring consistency in quality, adherence to schedules, and alignment with budgets and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include project planning, scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and proposal development.
· Build and strengthen client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to both private and public sector clients while identifying and advancing new business opportunities.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
· Professional Engineer (PE) license required (NJ or NY preferred).
· 15+ years of progressive experience in land development, with demonstrated expertise in zoning analysis, site planning, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management. Experience with NJDEP and NJDOT permitting is essential.
· Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and stormwater modeling software.
· Proven experience across technical execution, project management, and client engagement.
T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $130,000 - $165,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
