About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable captioner to join our team on a contract basis. This hybrid role requires someone who can efficiently transcribe spoken content into written form, ensuring high levels of accuracy and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will be flexible, comfortable working remotely, and available for on-site assignments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe real-time speech using shorthand, stenotype, or voice writing equipment.

  • Produce accurate and timely transcripts from live meetings, court proceedings, interviews, and other spoken content.

  • Edit and proofread transcripts for clarity, grammar, and accuracy.

  • Maintain records, logs, and files of all stenographic work.

  • Attend on-site assignments when required (advanced notice provided).

  • Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and data protection standards

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Comfortable with both remote tools and in-person settings.

  • NCRA Certification Required.
