Job DescriptionSalary: $20 - $23 hourly (DOE)
(Must be able to work 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm)
(Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays)
Role & Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and check air import shipments; verify documentation, perform piece counts, inspect for damages.
- Break down inbound freight, segregate by HAWB or customer, and stage for delivery or further processing.
- Handle bonded CFS and FTZ shipments in strict compliance with CBP and FTZ regulations.
- Maintain proper segregation and control of bonded, FTZ, and general inventory; complete all required logs and forms.
- Build, label, weigh, and prepare air export shipments according to airline and customer requirements.
- Complete TSA-required driver ID verifications and screening forms; ensure proper records are filed.
- Load freight securely for trucking, prepare BOLs and manifests for local or linehaul moves.
- Consolidate shipments to optimize space and reduce handling costs.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders based on customer instructions and shipping schedules.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas; follow all safety and PPE guidelines.
- Accurately complete all warehouse documentation: tally OS&D sheets, verification logs, discrepancy reports.
- Support cycle counts and participates in inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Adhere strictly to TSA, CBP, CFS, FTZ, and company SOPs for all processes.
- Immediately report any damages, discrepancies, or safety hazards.
- Participate in team trainings and compliance reviews to uphold quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or freight forwarding environment preferred.
- Familiarity with air import/export processes, bonded CFS, and FTZ operations a strong plus.
- Knowledge of TSA, CBP, and general air cargo regulatory requirements preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents (AWBs, BOLs, packing lists).
- Must be able to complete required documentation accurately and legibly.
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified; experience operating warehouse equipment safely.
- Basic computer skills (email, WMS systems, scanning devices).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to process compliance.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. and work on feet throughout the shift.
- Good communication skills and a teamwork attitude.
- Open to working different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Must pass all security and background checks required for TSA and CBP regulated facilities.
