Job Title: CNA - Days
Job Location: Texas Avenue Bangor, ME
Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

  • Assist residents/patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including:

  • Feeding

  • Bathing

  • Ambulating/mobility support

  • Skin care and hygiene

  • Demonstrate effective listening skills and respond to resident/patient needs with compassion.

  • Obtain and record initial vital signs and weights and report measurements accurately to nursing staff.

  • Report any changes in vital signs or resident condition promptly to the Supervisor/Charge Nurse.

  • Always Adhere to Universal Precautions and infection-control procedures.

  • Monitor, track, and document resident/patient intake and output per unit protocols.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and always support resident rights.

  • Foster positive working relationships with nursing and healthcare team members.

  • Provide resident care promptly and accurately as directed by an RN/LPN and in alignment with the care plan.

  • Assist with patient/resident and family orientation to the unit, facility, and services.

  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism when interacting with residents, families, and staff.

  • Remain objective and composed when dealing with challenging behaviours or situations.

  • Show flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing care needs.

  • Seek support when needed and contribute to problem-solving efforts.

  • Display dedication to providing high-quality care to long-term care and skilled rehabilitation residents.
