Job DescriptionJob Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience in urgent care / family practice environments. The Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible service and support throughout their visit.
Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Perform basic life support and emergency procedures as needed.
  • Document patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and calming anxieties.
  • Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a physician or nurse.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle billing inquiries.
  • Provide exceptional patient service, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the clinic.
  • Stay updated on best practices in patient care.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
  • Previous experience in an outpatient or urgent care setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to perform basic life support techniques effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
