We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time School Nurse to join our dedicated team. The School Nurse will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our students and staff, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities:
- Provide basic healthcare, first aid, and emergency care to students and staff in cases of injury or acute illness.
- Administer prescribed medications to students according to school policies and physician orders, maintaining accurate records.
- Manage and oversee individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions, collaborating with parents, teachers, and medical providers.
- Conduct health screenings (e.g., vision, hearing) as required by state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records, including immunization records, and ensure compliance with all relevant health laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns, providing guidance and support for at-home care.
- Collaborate with school administration, teachers, and staff to address health-related concerns and provide a coordinated approach to student well-being.
- Educate students, parents, and faculty on healthy habits, hygiene, disease prevention, and general wellness.
- Assist in developing and implementing school health management protocols and procedures for both routine and emergency situations.
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and drills.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in the nurse's office and promote hygiene practices throughout the school.

Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).
- Experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing highly preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal health regulations pertaining to school health.
- Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient demeanor with a passion for working with students.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and using electronic health record systems (if applicable).

Benefits
This is a part-time position with the potential for full-time consideration. The hourly pay rate is up to $35/hour. This role will work 20 hours per week.
