Occupational Therapist (Part-Time)
Location: Private School in Newtown, Bucks County Schedule: Part-Time
- 17 hours/week • 14 direct service hours during school hours (Mon–Fri, 9:15 AM–2:30 PM) • 1 hour of indirect work per day • Flexible scheduling: choose between 2.5 and 5 workdays per week
At Potential Inc., we are dedicated to helping individuals with Autism learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential. As part of our expanding services, we are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to support students in a private school environment. You will play a vital role in helping students develop functional skills, apply therapeutic techniques, and achieve meaningful progress within their daily routines and community environments.
What You'll Do
- Integrate occupational therapy services into a student's Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program • Develop, implement, and communicate individualized instructional and therapeutic plans • Collect measurable data and identify barriers that may impact progress • Collaborate with educational and clinical staff to support quality services, open communication, and shared accountability • Utilize adaptive equipment and assistive technology as appropriate to support student needs
Who You Are
- Experienced in working with autistic children or in special education settings • Familiar with adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and therapeutic approaches that support functional skill development • Knowledgeable about or open to learning Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles • Committed to teamwork, communication, and supporting a positive school culture • Dedicated to advancing meaningful outcomes for students and aligned with Potential Inc.'s mission and values
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program • Successful completion of the Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) licensure examination • Valid Occupational Therapy license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
