Role Description
Pacific States University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor in Accounting to teach the following undergraduate-level courses on campus:
- Accounting Information Systems – with emphasis on tools like QuickBooks
- Introduction to Accounting and Finance – a general overview course for non-specialists
Each course meets once a week for 4 hours, for a total of 11 weeks, starting July 7, 2025. The instructor is expected to deliver engaging lectures, facilitate in-class activities, assess student progress, and support learners’ academic success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver weekly in-person lectures and instructional activities
- Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, and grading rubrics
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments and exams
- Maintain accurate attendance and grade records in compliance with university policies
- Be available for occasional office hours or student consultations
- Support a diverse student population, including many international students
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification is a plus
- Practical experience with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate level preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to student success and inclusive teaching practices
- Authorization to work in the United States
Compensation
$2,000 – $2,500 per course per quarter, depending on qualifications and experience.
