Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dedicated registered nurse is needed to provide expert clinical care in an emergency room setting during night shifts. This role focuses on delivering high-quality and efficient patient-centered care tailored to the unique needs of emergency cases. The ideal candidate exhibits professionalism, strong communication skills, and respect for patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team while maintaining compliance with established care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement direct patient care specific to emergency room protocols and patient age groups
- Maintain knowledge of current clinical practices, certifications, and patient rights
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members in a clear and compassionate manner
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, infection control policies, and emergency procedures
- Support unit goals consistent with organizational values and quality standards
- Manage physical demands of emergency nursing, including patient transfers and crisis response
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC/ATCN, and CPI or equivalent certifications highly preferred and required to be maintained
- Emergency nursing experience or relevant clinical background preferred
- Proven ability to work flexible hours and adapt to dynamic clinical environments
Schedule:
- Night Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
