Local Company / Utility Building ClerkPay: $15/hourHours: Monday - Friday
Job Duties:
- Provide front-desk customer service, including answering phone calls and assisting walk-in residents.
- Process utility payments (online, in person, mail, and drop box).
- Create, update, and maintain customer accounts in the billing system.
- Prepare and review monthly utility bills for accuracy.
- Assist customers with service requests such as new service setup, disconnections, and account changes.
- Research billing discrepancies and help resolve customer concerns.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation in accordance with city policies.
- Generate reports and assist with routine audits of billing data.
- Coordinate with Public Works and other departments on service orders and meter issues.
- Perform general clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and scanning documents.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in customer service, billing, or office administration preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and billing software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong organization and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must have a clean background.
- Pass a drug screen.
